DroneOptID is a software that uses advanced computer vision technology to detect, identify and track unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in real time. This artificial intelligence (AI) model, developed specifically for drone detection, integrates seamlessly with DroneShield’s detection and countermeasure devices.

The software accurately verifies UAS threats using geospatial and environmental data from other sensors. Upon detecting a potential drone, the camera automatically focuses on the target and uses DroneOptID machine learning algorithms to accurately track and identify the threat.

DroneOptID improves tracking accuracy for both manual and autonomous UAS threat identification. It helps operators evaluate drone characteristics such as payload, modifications, and countermeasure effectiveness, ensuring an adequate response to each threat.

DroneOptID key features:

• Sensor Fusion: Uses detection data from DroneShield or third-party radar and radio frequency (RF) detectors to accurately locate a target.

• Additional Data: Enhances the camera's ability to provide accurate visual representation of moving targets, including cargo that may not be detectable by other sensors.

• Flight Prediction: Uses a proprietary flight prediction algorithm to assist in tracking even when the target is temporarily out of sight.

• Computer Vision Technology: DroneShield uses the latest computer vision technology for image classification, localization, and segmentation.

• Countermeasure Effectiveness Confirmation: Allows operators to verify whether active countermeasures (electronic or kinetic) have effectively eliminated the UAS threat.
